San Francisco robot fight club levels up: 200-pound humanoids duel with steel blades
cixliv · x · 2026-10-12
San Francisco's robot fight club staged its first blade-wielding humanoid bout at a Van Ness arena: 6'2", 180-pound Rektile with steel claws faced the 190-pound T-REK carrying spartan blades, both with over 6 feet of reach. Organizer Cix Liv called it "the first humanoid death match," choosing blades for intimidation without instantly destroying the robots. A camera lens was pierced and the cage panels were gouged during the fight — "BattleBots 2.0" as a spectator sport.
