shadcn: Work moves to where intent lives — build software around the intent layer
shadcn · x · 2026-10-12
shadcn (creator of shadcn/ui) shared a diagram framing software as Input / Intent / Output, arguing that work is migrating to wherever intent lives. In the image the Intent layer contains an @harness input box, with the caption: "If you're building software, figure out how to make it work here" — a call for builders to reorient products around user intent and agent harnesses rather than traditional I/O interfaces.
