Pine Computer launches a cloud computer built for AI agents, claiming 1/20 cost at 78.3% SaaS-Bench

Startup Pine has released Pine Computer, a cloud computer designed for AI agents rather than humans, now in private beta.
The thesis: intelligence isn't the bottleneck, the interface is. Handing agents a computer built for humans—pixels, screens, harnesses—makes real-world tasks slow, expensive, and unreliable.
Key features:
- Agents read page structure (what things are and can do) instead of pixels
- Changes are pushed instantly, no screenshot polling
- Many virtual screens rendered in memory on demand
- Sealed off, accessible only via your code; keys stay with the user
Preliminary numbers: on the same long real-world cross-app tasks, agents on Pine are 2-5x faster with 1/25 the model API cost; a lighter model on it scored 78.3% on SaaS-Bench vs 71.1% for a heavier setup, at 1/20 the cost. A Ruby SDK is available; demo use cases include automating API-less websites.
