A 4-step agentic engineering workflow: isolate worktrees, reusable blocks, agent-proofed reviews

Podcast guest Micky shares his 4-step agentic workflow for shipping production apps:
- Isolate: give each agent its own worktree
- Build: create reusable building blocks
- Prove: make agents record proof their work works
- Ship: have AI review your PR on a loop
He stresses: "I'm not at a point where I trust the agent. It has to show evidence of what it did and why it's good." Planning isn't the agent writing a spec for you to review — it's discussing with the agent until the requirements are clear; the conversation history is the spec.
A cautionary tale: he built a custom payment system for his church (Canadian payment services charged exorbitant fees), with real money flowing through. A security audit run by GPT-6 Astra surfaced one issue that would have been detrimental. His advice: any app used by real people with money involved must get a security audit.
