AI made internal app building easy — DronaHQ ships an MCP to fix governance
jinen1983 · reddit · 2026-10-12
A DronaHQ team member argues that while Claude Code/Cursor make internal tools trivially easy to build, organizations hit a governance wall at scale: each AI-built app carries its own login setup, roles, credential storage, logs and deployment style — making access reviews, offboarding, audits and policy changes a per-app chore.
DronaHQ MCP's answer: developers keep their AI coding tools, but every app lands on one shared governance layer — unified SSO and RBAC, a single credential vault, controlled data connections, one audit trail and version history, with self-hosted/private-cloud deployment.
He notes it's not for customer-facing products or heavy custom business logic, and asks how many AI-built internal apps orgs have and who owns their governance.
