Alma opens remote MCP server for food logs and Apple Health data, live in Claude's connector directory
Alma · reddit · 2026-10-12
- Alma founder Rami launched a remote MCP server for his iPhone food-tracking app, now listed in Claude's connector directory, letting AI assistants query real meal history.
- Example workflow: review the last seven days of logged meals against protein and fiber goals and flag incomplete days; with Apple Health access, sleep, workout, and weight data add context. Missing data is treated as unknown, and correlations aren't medical conclusions.
- For builders: mcp.alma.food uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth with granular scopes (nutrition:read, health:read, foodlog:write); users approve access and can disconnect agents anytime. Write access only logs food after explicit user confirmation of names, portions, calories, and macros; edits/deletes are not possible.
- Pricing: 7-day free trial, then $99/year or $19.99/month.
