Dad vibe-codes a physical MLB scoreboard for his son with Raspberry Pi and Claude Code
dtizzlenizzle · reddit · 2026-10-12
A Reddit dad wanted a live MLB scoreboard for his son but found commercial options overpriced, so he built his own. Over a few months of nights and weekends, using ChatGPT/Codex and Claude Code, he went from concept to a working Raspberry Pi + LED matrix device with a 3D-printed case, then kept adding features: arcade games, NFL scores, live updates for his son's baseball games via GameChanger, and a quiet mode. The project is open-sourced on GitHub (pixelboard).
