Open-source gods-eye-view hits 52k stars, rebuilding Fleet Week in 3D from real flight data

bilawal sidhu has open-sourced gods-eye-view (MIT license), a "spy satellite simulator in your browser" that renders live, real-world spatial intelligence on a photorealistic 3D globe. The repo already has 52k stars and 10.4k forks on GitHub.
As a demo, the author reconstructed San Francisco's Fleet Week in 3D from real flight and vessel tracking data inside a photorealistic digital twin. The camera engine reads flight telemetry to track each jet and applies speed ramps at just the right moment — as if combining the best of 3D, geospatial, simulation, and VFX tooling. He argues that "reliving any event in any city from a god's eye view is closer than you think." A hosted/pro version has a waitlist.
The attached screenshots show a cinematic tracking shot of an SR-71 Blackbird gliding over the Bay Area's cloud-covered landscape.
