dotey reverse-engineers Claude Design Skill, boosting GPT-6.1 Sol's design output

What happened
dotey reverse-engineered the new Claude Design in Artifacts and found that wiring its Skill into GPT-6.1 Sol dramatically improves design output — likely because Claude Design defaults to a Claude Design System Skill that generates brand palettes, typography, and tokens.
The reverse-engineering workflow (from his quoted tweet)
- Download the core scripts and stylesheets from Claude Slides
- Install REA via Codex per REA's docs
- Use the REA Skill to deobfuscate the code into a decent directory structure (still messy inside)
- Rewrite with Claude Code 5.5 into clean, fully typed code
- Instead of extracting the original prompt, ask the model to build an equivalent Skill from the product's behavior — results are indistinguishable
BaoCut integration
He originally built BaoCut as a video-editing-only Agent but couldn't resist adding Claude Slides and Claude Design (standalone Skills can't support editing/annotation yet). BaoCut is open source; its strongest features remain video: local-model transcription, translation-based subtitles, and clip generation. You can try it by running BaoCut locally and selecting the design skill in your local agent CLI (e.g. Codex).
