My agents wrote ~4,000 markdown files in a year — I opened 11% of them
bayvo · reddit · 2026-10-12
A Reddit user counted 3,950 markdown files created in one year by Claude Code, Codex and similar agents — plans, summaries, handoff notes, READMEs — and found 89% were never opened within 7 days. He now has agents add frontmatter (type, project, updated) for filtering, but the pile keeps growing, and he asks how others handle agent-generated notes: free writes with cleanup, a separate folder, or deletion after task completion.
