Claude composes a piano piece and renders 3D hands playing it — open-source pipeline
MrBobBrick · reddit · 2026-10-12
A Reddit user built a 3D piano video renderer with Claude Code (open source); Claude also composed the piece, Ember Fountain. Pipeline: a Python script converts MIDI to hand/finger motion, Blender 5.1 (Eevee) renders rigged hands (Blender Studio CC0 base meshes + procedural skin), FluidSynth renders audio, ffmpeg combines output. A browser studio handles style/camera/quality, frame preview, and render queuing. Rendering 9,439 frames at 1080p/60fps took 6.5 hours on an RTX 4060, with crash recovery. Needs Python, Blender 5.1, and a GPU.
