Chrome AI user hits surprise safety filter that kills session, then can't export the conversation
Plenty-Resolve-5441 · reddit · 2026-10-11
A Google Chrome AI Pro user reports that a benign mention of a family friend's story around a substance abruptly triggered a safety banner and forced session termination — a change from before, when triggering filters kept the thread alive. Subsequent sessions also went downhill: the AI repeatedly lost his original question, re-asked what platform he was on, and returned generic browser-help answers. He also found he could only export the last 6 days of the conversation to the Gemini app. The post highlights real user pain around over-eager safety filters and non-portable long sessions.
