Researcher iScienceLuvr argues that splitting a conference across three locations makes no sense — the whole point of conferences is gathering everyone to share ideas and have insightful conversations. Former OpenAI executive MParakhin amplified the take: a conference should be in one visa- and travel-accessible location, because cross-pollination, serendipitous encounters, and catching up with old friends are the entire point, and simultaneous venues actively undermine that.
