haiku 5.5 hailed as insane release: batch-edit 10,000 files for under $100

@tenobrus calls haiku 5.5 "an absolutely insane model release". He'd been using the cheap prior model luna as a fanout machine — having a reasonably smart agent inspect and modify 10,000 files for under $100 total — and argues people underestimate how much such cheap capability enables: a smarter orchestrator can finish in 20 minutes what would otherwise take days of expensive inference. haiku 5.5 goes further, genuinely able to build small things end to end, create its own tools, and do local refactors he trusts.
