Action Hub: A Meta-MCP Server That Cuts 90k Tokens of Tool Schemas to 600
Leading-Pudding-1841 · reddit · 2026-10-11
A new open-source project, Action Hub, tackles MCP tool schemas eating agent context — 20 connected servers can inject 90k tokens before the agent does anything.
- It's a meta-MCP server exposing a single search/load/execute tool over an indexed catalog of tools and skills
- Hybrid lexical + semantic search returns IDs only; full schemas load on demand, and downstream servers aren't spawned or authenticated until called — baseline context drops to 600 tokens
- Includes OAuth PKCE, OpenTelemetry, permission tiers, a shared daemon for multiple hosts, and a 120-query retrieval eval
- Works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and any MCP host; single binary via Homebrew/winget
