scriptc adds zero-copy immutable data sharing for compiled TS to rival Go/Rust threading
cramforce · x · 2026-10-11
- The scriptc team released @scriptc/threads, bringing zero-copy object sharing to compiled TypeScript, with the explicit goal of making compiled TS competitive with Go and Rust on robust multithreading primitives.
- Highlights: Node.js-compatible Worker + postMessage; publish() shares immutable object graphs by reference so sender and workers read the same graph without cloning overhead; no JS language extension — programs run with identical semantics in Node, falling back to cloning there.
- Safety comes from immutability rather than locks in workers.
