Pydantic AI adds one-setting prompt caching across Anthropic and Bedrock
pydantic · x · 2026-10-10
Pydantic AI shipped a Caching capability that automatically requests prompt caching for tool definitions, instructions, and conversation history. Anthropic and AWS Bedrock cache nothing unless explicitly asked, and this feature replaces per-provider configuration with a single setting. It is now documented in the Pydantic AI docs as part of its Capabilities system, alongside context-management features like Code Mode, Tool Search, and Provider-Native Compaction.
