marclou open-sourced MailCheap after repeated requests: a self-hosted newsletter platform running on Amazon SES at $0.10 per 1,000 emails. Features include a live-preview editor, multiple newsletters, signup forms + API, public archive, growth stats, list cleanup, and bounce/spam protection. He reports it's 92% cheaper than Beehiiv for his own use.
