Open-source self-hosted connector layer gives personal agents Claude Code's toolset
shensi · x · 2026-10-10
A developer built and open-sourced a self-hostable connector layer that centralizes all third-party connections for personal agents. The idea: keep auth separate, audit what the agent does, set fine-grained permissions, and switch between agent apps freely. After wiring it up, his Instinct agent has the exact same tools as Claude Code on his laptop. Merge's co-founder noted their company already powers connectors for popular coding agents, search platforms, and personal agents.
