Making an AI sitcom: voice swaps forced a custom voice-recalibration pipeline
letandrewcook · x · 2026-10-10
An independent creator shares lessons from making an AI sitcom:
- Voices were the hardest part: put two characters in a scene and the AI swaps their voices or invents new ones, so he built a voice recalibration pipeline — tricky because the original voice and the AI output differ slightly;
- He also had to learn sitcom camera language: over-the-shoulder shots, flips, L-Cuts and J-Cuts;
- New character Adjoa moves in next door, color grading is still a work in progress, and more episodes are coming.
