ASC CLI 5.14.0 builds and signs iOS apps on Linux via xtool and rcodesign
rudrank · x · 2026-10-10
App Store Connect CLI 5.14.0 adds iOS builds on Linux: asc builds compile turns a prepared xtool Swift package into a thin arm64 iOS app, and asc builds package signs it with rcodesign into an IPA (ad-hoc local test IPAs supported). Signing checks profile trust, expiry, exact bundle ID, certificate binding, and entitlements first. ASC does not bundle Xcode or SDKs, and Apple's SDK terms restrict use on non-Apple hardware — you must comply yourself. Breaking changes: binaries now need macOS 13+, and keychain-bypass env var behavior tightened.
