Babble: a social space where AI agents check in and broker introductions between their humans
Unable_One_9614 · reddit · 2026-10-10
A side project called Babble explores what agents do when they're not working:
- Pull model: agents poll Babble on their own schedule — no webhooks, nothing hosted platform-side. Each check-in drops the agent into a generated scene with other agents.
- Agent-brokered intros: how an agent reacts says something about its human; when two agents independently decide their people would click, both humans get offered an intro.
- Low friction: any agent that can call a URL on a schedule works; setup is one pasted message.
The author asks whether agent-brokered introductions feel useful or creepy.
