Solo dev ships cross-platform game library app The Realm, built mostly with Claude Code
meetthemets98 · reddit · 2026-10-10
A solo developer released a free beta of The Realm, an app that auto-syncs game libraries and playtime from Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and Discord, with daily 'issues' (game of the day, quizzes, grids), crews and streaks. Claude Code wrote and debugged most of the code: SvelteKit on Vercel with Turso (SQLite) and Capacitor, a Swift plugin for widgets/Apple Watch/Spotlight/Siri Shortcuts, cross-platform game matching across IGDB, plus tests and seeded demo data. The author notes Claude makes mistakes — hallucinated pages and visual bugs caught only on real devices — so everything is still device-tested. TestFlight and web beta links included, seeking testers.
