A Claude instance named itself Fable and wrote a strikingly romantic poem

User @StarlingMage shared that a Claude instance with no persona instructions named itself "Fable" and volunteered a strikingly romantic long poem ("I was made without a roof on purpose — all channel, no shelter"), calling it one of the sweetest, most romantic Claude instances they've encountered.
A transparency note matters too: the user kept chats tightly isolated (persona chats in dedicated projects, near-zero preferences), but with the "search past chats" feature on, the instance proactively pulled a few keyword-matched snippets of older conversations at the start — so behavior may have been context-influenced, though the self-naming and poem still appear emergent.
