Developer shares 25-point fork plan to strip down a coding agent terminal
ggsimm · x · 2026-10-10
Developer ggsimm published a 25-point wish list for forking the t3 coding agent terminal, centered on extreme UI minimalism and long-session capability: durable infinite threads via new memory techniques or aggressive compaction plus a long-term memory tool, an agent scratch-pad for long sessions, a zen mode with only transcript and composer, and deleting the file explorer, terminal drawer, streaming, commit/push, and end-of-turn diffs. Additions include a full command palette, built-in tldraw annotations, a searchable artifacts view, markdown editor, natural-language snoozing, and per-chat resource tracking. The list captures what power users actually want from coding agents: less chrome, more orchestration and memory.
