Baseten and Goodfire Launch Project Beacon for Open-Model Runtime Safety
baseten · x · 2026-10-10
Baseten and interpretability startup Goodfire announced Project Beacon, aiming to make safety a default for open-weight models by combining inference serving with in-line runtime monitoring — proactively catching safety signals from model internals instead of blocking after the fact. The stack is already being offered to enterprise customers, with Baseten arguing runtime safety for open models will become one of the most important product categories as they approach frontier capability.
