Sierra's Personal Agent Protocol draft out with Meta, Stripe, Walmart; Cloudflare joins
irvinebroque · x · 2026-10-10
Sierra (Bret Taylor) published the first draft of Personal Agent Protocol ("Poppy") with Meta, Genesys, Shopify, Stripe, Walmart and 35 new design partners; Cloudflare is joining. The protocol replaces the binary block-or-full-access model for agents with graded permissions, letting companies decide what agents can do and users control their own agents. It bets on existing standards — OAuth, CIMD, dPoP, MCP, OpenAPI — so teams running remote MCP servers have a clear adoption path. Draft is open for feedback.
