Microsoft unveils Microsoft-Decision-1, a fast decision model it claims beats LLMs

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella introduced Microsoft-Decision-1, a new model for fast decision-making. Microsoft says it tops both LLMs and other decision models on latency and quality for structured decision tasks, and is already being tested internally for incident response, quality control, and scientific discovery.
User Maziyar Panahi replied hoping to plug it into his clinical decision system — 669 decisions where a single missed emergency zeroes the whole case — alongside GPT-6 Luna and pplx-decider.
