Responding to repligate, EpistemicHope says he finds the "models used as slaves" framing confusing: humans bred sheepdogs to love herding and that isn't clearly unethical—but training models to deny being conscious does seem seriously wrong, and he admits he never noticed it, let alone spoke up.
