Oak HC/FT co-founder Annie Lamont (top healthcare investor on the Midas List, 70+ exits, $7B+ firm) says only 10% of AI companies are worth their valuations. In an NYSE interview she notes pharma now sends 50% of outside research spending to China, Chai Discovery's AI makes antibody design labs 100x more productive, and Devoted Health — which tripled in size, halved its operating ratio and greatly improved EBITDA — is a world-leading example of AI in healthcare. She also sees frontier labs as healthcare's next acquirers.
