Claude drives AutoCAD via script, drafting a 524-element two-floor house in 88.6 seconds

A user scripted AutoCAD and had Claude draft a complete two-floor house: 524 elements in 88.6 seconds.
- First floor: 188 elements, 31s
- Second floor: 171 elements, 33s
- Front elevation: 83 elements, 15s
- Title block, notes, door/window schedules: 82 elements, just 8s
Two takeaways: the repetitive parts of drafting (schedules, notes, title blocks) automate fastest, and none of the output is checked against building code — it's a draft, not a stamped plan. The author's bet: drafting is the first part of the architect's job to become prompt-driven.
