First peer-reviewed paper on automating science with AI published in PNAS
Dr_Atoosa · x · 2026-10-09
DrAtoosa's team's first peer-reviewed paper on the challenges and opportunities of automating science with AI is out in PNAS. Key point: as AI systems get better at scientific inference, the real challenge is understanding their inner workings and the biases they can introduce into studies "in arguably different, inhuman ways." Accounting for these biases is framed as essential for AI-driven science to be trustworthy. Full paper available on PNAS.
