ReClip Deploys in One Command: 150-line Flask Backend, Two Dependencies
thisguyknowsai · x · 2026-10-09
Deploying the open-source downloader ReClip is trivial:
bash
brew install yt-dlp ffmpeg
git clone https://github.com/averygan/reclip
cd reclip && ./reclip.sh
Then open localhost:8899. Prefer Docker? One line: docker build -t reclip . && docker run -p 8899:8899 reclip.
Dev-friendly architecture: a 150-line Python + Flask backend, a vanilla HTML/CSS/JS frontend with no framework or build step, and just two dependencies (Flask and yt-dlp) — the whole project is auditable in one sitting.
