ChatGPT Finances: synced bank data isn't trained on, but your chats about it are

ChatGPT Finances rolled out to US Free and Go users: connect accounts via Plaid to read balances, transactions, investments and debts (no full account numbers, no money movement). OpenAI says synced account data isn't used for training, but conversations about it follow the default "Improve the model for everyone" setting—so chats containing your actual figures get treated like any other chat. Finances also keeps separate memories managed on the Finances page. The author recommends searching old chats for pasted salary figures and account details.
