Blogger argues AI won't cause net job losses for a decade as human labor value rises
menhguin · x · 2026-10-09
Quoting @theisaacmed's view that remaining value will concentrate in the 5% AI can't do well for decades (physical work, strategy, compliance moats, brands, community, trust, events), author menhguin counters that AI likely won't cause net job losses for a decade: if a human can do 50 things and AI automates 30, unemployment won't double — more output is unlocked per unit of labor bottleneck, raising human labor's value.
A follow-up caveats this assumes current training/post-training paradigms, where every human skill and workflow must be deliberately post-trained into models — there's no way to rapidly diffuse every skill across every proprietary context.
