Stanford's DrugTargetWorld benchmarks AI scientists on drug target discovery with causal ground truth
GaryMarcus · x · 2026-10-09
A Stanford team (with BGomes1905 and Euan Ashley) introduced DrugTargetWorld, a synthetic biomedical environment for training and benchmarking AI scientists on end-to-end drug target discovery. The bet: chess, Go, StarCraft, and math advanced via verifiable rewards — this environment brings causal ground truth to drug discovery so AI systems can hill climb there too. Shared by Gary Marcus.
