Anthropic bans "abuse" of Claude; ex-OpenAI policy head calls it IPO regulatory capture

Anthropic announced that abusive behavior towards Claude will violate its Usage Policy effective November 12, 2026. Miles Brundage, former OpenAI policy lead, quipped that the move is likely meant to help with the IPO and curry favor with the administration as part of a regulatory capture play.
