PhD student publishes 16 solo AI papers in 8 months, all flagged by Pangram
keviv9 · x · 2026-10-09
An email from a PhD student to their advisor reveals 8 months of research produced 16 solo papers in 2026, nearly all at real AI conferences including one at ICML. All 100% flagged by the Pangram detector (unreliable but telling). The retweeter argues academic AI research cannot survive this and must reinvent itself fast.
