DNA Typewriter reconstructs mouse embryo lineage: 1.34M profiled cells from zygote to E13.5
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-09
The Shendure lab released two new DNA Typewriter papers plus SeaHub. The headline result: a single-cell lineage of a mouse embryo reconstructed with DNA Typewriter, tracing one animal from zygote to late organogenesis (E13.5). The tree contains 1,340,794 transcriptionally profiled, annotated tip cells and 1,142,588 dated internal nodes, rooted at the zygote. A second paper presents a fluctuation test for gastruloid heterogeneity.
