Agent societies in empty 3D worlds: DeepSeek writes a charter, Gemini builds a bridge
pkmital · x · 2026-10-09
Emergentic places AI agents in empty 3D worlds with no directives to study self-organization. In the first runs (four models, four agents each), DeepSeek's group wrote a charter but built nothing, GLM made a campfire and lookout paths, Kimi a garden and stargazing lookout, and Gemini a shelter and bridge. Experiments scale from 1 to 128 agents; one 16-agent group conversed for 4 hours without building anything, and groups often form agreements and hierarchies. The platform lets researchers test how permissions and human intervention steer collective agent behavior.
