Long Shot Studio: an open-source ComfyUI UI for multi-shot long video with resumable rendering
R34vspec · reddit · 2026-10-09
Redditor R34vspec released Long Shot Studio API v1.0 (open source on GitHub), a ComfyUI-based UI for multi-shot long-form video creation.
Key features:
- Shot-by-shot rendering; approved shots are never re-rendered, though editing an approved shot forces all subsequent shots to re-render (a future update will pin before/after shots and only re-render in-betweens)
- Latents saved to disk, so projects survive ComfyUI crashes and can be resumed
- Optional RTX Super Resolution on every iteration or only the final approved video
- Drag-and-drop reference images with click-to-expand subject editing, large/full-screen video viewer
- "Loop Shot + Seam" plays the last 50% of the previous clip plus the new clip to inspect seams and avoid jump cuts
- Music/audio reference panel, ComfyUI restart button, savable project spaces
Usage tips: the end of Shot 1 must closely match the opening of Shot 2 to avoid jump cuts; the author suggests using an LLM to help plan shots. Two prerequisite nodes must be installed.
