Reverse Engineering ChatGPT's Intelligent UI: No Raw Code, Just a New DIL Language
teropa · x · 2026-10-09
After ChatGPT launched Generative UI (rebranding it Intelligent UI), rabiguha's team reverse engineered the implementation. Key finding: the agent never writes raw code — it emits DIL, a new language, which the server compiles and streams, and the client renders via a component set so it feels native. All analysis came from publicly observable traffic and the JavaScript chatgpt.com serves publicly.
