Robocurve co-founder predicts robots will match instruction-following teens by 2028, with manufacturing the bottleneck
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-08
Robocurve co-founder chooijeq notes the best LLM score on the real-robot benchmark RoboDojo-RC Tier 1 jumped from 15% to 43% in two months, led by GPT-5.6 Sol, Gemini 3.8 Flash and GPT-6 Astra.
He predicts general-purpose robots will be solved within a year or two: by 2028, robots will do anything a teenager can do given instructions. The remaining bottleneck, he argues, is the supply chain — how many robots can be manufactured — not capabilities or software.
