Ramp data: cheaper models push AI spend down as Jev grabs a percentage point in one month

Ramp's October 2026 SaaS vendor data shows AI spend pulled in two directions. On the downside, new and cheaper models are pushing spend down: Jev captured an entire percentage point of market adoption within a month (unheard of growth), and routers keep gaining. On the upside, adoption of expensive image/video generation models like Higgsfield and Runway is pushing spend up. September was also the biggest month ever for subscriptions and credits, with more coming in Q4.
