Personal agents that apply to jobs for you: a developer pitches the idea
Historical-Deer-4062 · reddit · 2026-10-08
The author argues personal agents could change daily life around two core needs: jobs and companionship. For jobs, an agent that knows you well could search the internet for openings and apply on your behalf; for companionship, he even imagines different people's agents going on "dates" with each other. He plans to tackle the job-finding problem first and asks the community: how would you want your AI agent to get you a job, what would that process look like, and is it even possible?
