Ethereum researcher Justin Drake warns AI could crack Bitcoin private keys in months

Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake warns AI could break Bitcoin's cryptography before Q-Day — "in the worst case in months, not years."
- "Breaking" means fast private-key recovery, e.g. within a week on a large GPU cluster; whoever holds the private key controls the coins.
- Most wallets expose their public key at first spend, the starting point for key recovery.
- Satoshi's 20,000 exposed addresses holding 1M BTC are at risk.
- He ties the warning to OpenAI's latest math model, saying "mathematical superintelligence is upon us."
