Graph-MIND: local MCP memory server hits 88.8% LongMemEval with zero LLM calls at write time
BrilliantGrocery8233 · reddit · 2026-10-08
A developer released Graph-MIND, an MCP memory server that runs entirely locally and captures every turn from Claude Code, Codex, and Claude Desktop verbatim with secrets masked.
Design
- Saving is just a database write — no LLM call, $0 cost; retrieval fuses local multilingual embeddings with FTS5 keyword search
- 13 MCP tools, with braincontext returning a bounded 3k-token packet; also recall, timeline, code activity, decisions
- Multi-PC sharing via a one-line join code (your own Postgres over LAN/Tailscale)
Benchmarks (LongMemEvalS, gpt-5-mini reader, official gpt-4o judge)
- 88.8% on all 500 questions, 86.8% on the 380 tuning-unused ones
- Pre-registered 40-question head-to-head: 85% vs MemPalace 57.5% vs Mem0 OSS 52.5%; platform self-reported scores not reproduced
AGPL-3.0, listed in the official MCP Registry, installs with two commands.
