Ramp's hidden markdown-file offer read only by AI actually worked, customers claimed it

Fintech company Ramp hid an offer in a markdown file only AI agents could read: users arriving via ChatGPT could claim a unique $162 discount. LLMs picked it up and relayed it to users, many of whom asked their sales team for the discount — and it worked. Earlier in the year someone even asked Claude about a rumored $3100 promotion. The episode shows the real purchasing power of markdown content written for LLM consumption (a prompt-injection-flavored marketing tactic), and gives consumers a bargaining chip.
