Indie dev's traffic flatlined for 9 days — the code was never pushed live

An indie developer's site showed zero traffic growth for 9 days. Suspecting an SEO problem, he eventually found two commits stuck locally, never pushed — production was running a 9-day-old build.
- Passing code review, green type checks, and a clean git status do not mean the code is live
- The proposed triage order: first verify production runs the latest code, then look at content and backlinks
- "The platform won't give you traffic just because your local code is good"
A cheap but valuable pitfall for indie hackers running their own sites.
