Leaked "Gemini 4.1 Flash" is actually a test build, codename decoding shows
lyraxana · x · 2026-10-08
Analyzing circulating screenshots, XIVIX134 argues the model gemini-v4p1s-rev25-skimaki-remy is not Gemini 4.1 Flash — the model misreads "v4p1s" as 4.1. Per the naming scheme: v4(p1) = Gemini 3 base, s = model size, remy = codename for Spark, skimaki = internal codename for 3.8 Flash. The leaked build is a test variant, not the real 4.1.
